Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information SabioTrade collects, why we collect it, the legal bases we rely on, who receives it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past a cookie banner.
Definitions
In this policy, "personal data" means information relating to an identified or identifiable individual; "processing" means anything done with that information, such as collecting, storing, using or sharing it; "we", "us" and "SabioTrade" refer to the operator of this website under the trading name SabioTrade; and "you" is the visitor or account holder whose data we are describing. Where Australian privacy principles or comparable overseas frameworks apply to an activity, we refer to them as the "applicable requirements".
Personal data we collect
We collect at least the following categories when you register or use the service: first name and last name, email address, telephone number, and the content of enquiries you send us. Where you proceed to verification, we additionally collect your date of birth, residential address, identity document details and copies, and, where a liveness check applies, the capture produced for it. Transaction data (deposits, withdrawals, trading activity) is collected for accounts you operate.
We do not collect special categories of data beyond what verification strictly requires, and we do not collect data from people who merely browse the site without registering, beyond the technical usage data described below.
Usage data
When you visit the website, standard technical information is generated: your IP address (approximate region), browser type and version, device type, the pages requested, the referring page and timestamps. This data powers security monitoring, abuse prevention and aggregate statistics such as "which page do most registrations start from".
Usage data is kept in identifiable form only as long as the operational need lasts, after which it is aggregated or deleted as described under retention below.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies for session management, security and remembering your preferences (such as interface settings), and, subject to your consent, analytics cookies that help us count visits and understand which pages fail to answer questions. The marketing consent described under advertising below is also cookie-based.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be refused without breaking core functionality such as staying signed in.
Operator of personal data
SabioTrade, operating through this website, is the operator (controller) of the personal data described in this policy: we decide the purposes and means of processing. Where a verification provider, payment processor or hosting service handles data on our instructions, it acts as a processor and is bound by contract, described further under service providers.
Collection and use of information
We use personal data to: respond to your enquiries and provide support; create, operate and secure your account; carry out identity verification and anti-money-laundering checks; process deposits, withdrawals and trading activity; meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to us; maintain records; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and, with your consent, send marketing communications and operate analytics. Each purpose uses only the categories of data it needs.
Legal bases for processing
Where a legal-basis framework applies, we rely on: performance of a contract, for the processing needed to provide the account and services you asked for; compliance with legal obligations, for verification, monitoring and record-keeping; legitimate interests, for security, fraud prevention and service improvement, weighed against your expectations and rights; and consent, for marketing emails, non-essential analytics and advertising-related cookies. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already performed.
Retention of data
Account and verification records are kept for the period required by the applicable anti-money-laundering and tax requirements, and then deleted or anonymised. Transaction records follow the same schedule. Enquiry correspondence is kept while the matter is live and for a short period afterwards. Usage data in identifiable form is kept no longer than needed for security and statistics, typically measured in months. Documents you withdraw consent for, where no other basis requires keeping them, are deleted within a reasonable period.
Data transfers
Our infrastructure and providers may process data in countries other than Australia. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as contractual clauses with the recipient, and the recipient processes data only on our instructions under obligations equivalent to this policy.
Disclosure of data
We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only to the categories described in this policy: verification and IT providers acting for us, affiliated companies within our group involved in operating the service, payment and exchange partners to the extent a transaction requires, and regulators, courts or authorities where the law requires disclosure. Aggregated, de-identified statistics may be shared internally for product decisions.
Security of data
Personal data is protected by the measures described on our Security page: encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access with logging, and segregation of sensitive verification material. No system is perfectly secure, so we also maintain an incident process that includes assessing and, where required, notifying affected individuals and authorities of a data breach.
Your rights over your data
Subject to applicable requirements, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have incorrect data corrected; to have data deleted where no retention obligation requires us to keep it; to restrict processing while a dispute over accuracy is resolved; to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for marketing; and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. Verification obligations can limit deletion in particular: we may need to retain identity records for a statutory period even after account closure.
To exercise any right, email [email protected] from your registered address. We respond within a reasonable period and may ask for information that confirms your identity before acting, to protect your account from manipulation.
Service providers
We rely on providers for identity verification, cloud hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing and customer-support tooling. Each receives only the data its function requires, is contractually forbidden from using it for its own purposes, and must apply security measures consistent with ours. The list of categories is deliberate: we keep the chain short enough to supervise.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, where visitors encounter errors, and what journeys lead to registration. Where an analytics tool sets non-essential cookies, it does so only with your consent. Analytics output is used to improve the service, not to make automated decisions about individuals.
Advertising and retargeting
Where you see SabioTrade advertising on other platforms, retargeting cookies may be used to avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly. This occurs only where you have consented to advertising cookies, and you can change that choice in your browser or through the platform's own preference controls at any time. We do not share your identity documents, transaction history or contact details with advertising networks.
Links to third-party websites
Our website links to third parties such as payment providers for your convenience. Once you follow such a link, the destination's own privacy policy governs your data there, and we encourage you to read it. This policy covers what happens on sabiotrade-ai.com and within the SabioTrade account service.
Children's privacy
The service is directed at adults. Accounts are available only to people aged eighteen or over, and verification inherently excludes minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if we learn that data of a child has reached us, we delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The current version is published on this page and takes effect when published; for material changes affecting existing accounts we notify registered users in advance. The date of the latest revision is reflected by the publication of the page itself, and earlier versions are available on request.
Contact us
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to [email protected], handled by the Client Support & Compliance team. If you believe we have not resolved a privacy matter properly, the Complaints page explains the escalation route, including external review, and the AML / KYC policy covers verification data in more detail.
